19,000 SF; $2.4 million capital investment
“By keeping the jobs in the community and assisting with the flow of traffic without adversely affecting traffic, Honesdale National sees the expansion and remodeling projects as a definite enhancement to the downtown area” – William C. Schweighofer, President & CEO, Honesdale National Bank
Construction of the 19,000 SF office facility located in downtown Honesdale was phase two of a three-phase expansion project undertaken by Honesdale National Bank. The project began in the fall of 2004 when HNB relocated their Drive-Up facility to the rear of the 733 Main Street facility, mading room for the new corporate center. The corporate center was completed in August 2005 and currently houses HNB’s Executive Offices, Trust and Investment services, Loan, Deposit and Branch Operations, Data Processing and Information Technology Departments and Commercial Lending Operations. Capital Investment for the project was $2.4 Million.
The corporate center faces the original Main Street bank, which was constructed in 1896, and was designed to have architectural similarities. Distinctive Indiana Limestone graces the facade and a stained glass window from the 1896 building was completely reconstructed by an area craftsman, and installed within the arch of the third floor window.
With the corporate center fully operational, the last phase of the project has begun. This includes renovating both the interior and exterior of the 733 Main Street office and installing new streetlights. |
